Strokio ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Strokio does not require user accounts and does not collect personally identifiable information such as name or email.

However, limited data may be processed:

  • Anonymous usage data
  • Crash logs
  • Photos you select for AI painting generation
  • An anonymous device identifier and an anonymous purchase identifier, used to count your free paintings and to verify your subscription
  • Your IP address, used briefly and in hashed form to prevent abuse of the service

2. Photo Processing

Before your first painting, Strokio asks for your permission to upload photos for AI processing. If you decline, no photo leaves your device.

When you create a painting, the photo you select is resized, stripped of location data, and sent securely to Strokio's servers, which are hosted on Google Cloud (Firebase). It is then processed by OpenAI's image generation service to create the painting. Photos are processed only to generate your requested output, are not used by us to train models, and are not shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to provide this functionality.

  • The uploaded photo is deleted from our servers as soon as the painting has been generated.
  • The generated painting is removed from our servers within a few hours.
  • Paintings in your gallery are stored only on your device.

OpenAI may retain submitted content for a limited period under its own policies, for example to monitor for abuse.

3. In-App Purchases

Strokio offers auto-renewable subscriptions. Payments are handled by Apple.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled
  • You can manage subscriptions in App Store settings

We do not have access to your payment information.

4. Data Usage

We do not use your data for advertising or tracking purposes.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Information may be shared only with the third-party service providers listed in this policy, and only to the extent necessary to provide their functionality.

6. Data Security

Your data is processed securely using industry-standard technologies.

7. Third-Party Services

Strokio uses trusted third-party services to improve the app experience.

  • Firebase Analytics – to understand app usage.
  • Firebase Crashlytics – to detect and fix crashes.
  • Firebase Remote Config – to configure the app.
  • Google Cloud (Firebase) – to host the painting service and keep your free painting count.
  • OpenAI – to generate paintings from the photos you submit.
  • RevenueCat – to manage subscriptions and purchases.

These services only process the information necessary to provide their functionality.

8. Your Choices

  • You can decline AI photo processing; Strokio will not upload your photos.
  • You can delete any painting from your gallery in the app. Deleting the app removes all paintings stored on your device.

Strokio is not intended for children under the age of 13.
