Thupify ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Thupify does not require user accounts and does not collect personally identifiable information such as name or email.

However, limited data may be processed:

  • Anonymous usage data
  • Crash logs
  • Decision content you send for AI analysis, such as your question, options, option details, criteria, priorities, and option photos
  • The question and options (titles and photos) of a decision you choose to share for voting
  • An anonymous purchase identifier, used to verify your subscription
  • For people voting on a shared decision, an anonymous browser identifier and their IP address in hashed form, used to prevent repeated voting

2. Data Stored on Your Device

Your decisions, options, criteria, notes, scores, photos, and AI results are stored on your device only. There is no account, and Thupify does not sync your decisions to a server.

Photo library access is used only when you choose a photo for an option. Notifications are used only to remind you about your shared decisions and voting activity, and you can turn them off at any time.

3. AI Analysis

When you request an AI analysis or clarification, your question, options, option details, criteria, priorities, and option photos are sent securely to Thupify's servers, which are hosted on Google Cloud (Firebase), and processed by OpenAI to create your analysis. Photos are downscaled before they leave your device.

Your data is processed only to generate your requested output, is not used by us to train models, and is not shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to provide this functionality. Thupify's servers do not store your decision content after the request is handled.

OpenAI may retain submitted content for a limited period under its own API data policies, for example to monitor for abuse.

4. Friend Voting

If you share a decision for voting, its question and options (titles and photos) are published on Thupify's servers and can be viewed by anyone who has the link. Your notes, priorities, scores, and AI analysis are never published.

  • You can close voting, disable the link, or delete the poll from the app at any time. Deleting a poll removes its content, votes, and voting records from our servers.
  • Voters do not need the app or an account. Only vote counts are stored, together with an anonymous browser identifier and a hashed IP address to limit repeated voting.

Please do not include personal or sensitive information in decisions you share.

5. In-App Purchases

Thupify offers auto-renewable subscriptions. Payments are handled by Apple.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled
  • You can manage subscriptions in App Store settings

We do not have access to your payment information.

6. Data Usage

We do not use your data for advertising or tracking purposes. Analytics events never contain the content of your decisions.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Information may be shared only with the third-party service providers listed in this policy, and only to the extent necessary to provide their functionality.

8. Data Security

Your data is processed securely using industry-standard technologies.

9. Third-Party Services

Thupify uses trusted third-party services to improve the app experience.

  • Firebase Analytics – to understand app usage.
  • Firebase Crashlytics – to detect and fix crashes.
  • Firebase Remote Config – to provide app settings and usage limits.
  • Google Cloud (Firebase) – to host the AI analysis and voting services.
  • OpenAI – to create AI analyses and clarifying questions.
  • RevenueCat – to manage subscriptions and purchases.

These services only process the information necessary to provide their functionality.

10. Your Choices

  • AI analysis and friend voting are optional; if you don't use them, your decisions never leave your device.
  • You can delete any decision in the app, and Settings lets you delete all decisions at once and turn off all of your voting links. Deleting the app removes all of your data stored on your device.
  • You can delete any shared poll from the app.

11. Children's Privacy

Thupify is not intended for children under the age of 13.
